Once upon a time there was the Campino of Rivalto, a historical meeting point for the population of the village and the initiatives of the Amici di Rivalto Association and, even earlier, the headquarter of the ACLI club, which we have amply narrated in the section of occasions and meeting places.
Even until the mid-80s, summer evenings at Campino were happily spent in company of children and adults, among a spuma (a typical soft drink in Tuscany, made with caramel, lemon juice, orange peel, rhubarb, vanilla and spices), a liqueur, a ponce alla livornese (or rather, “alla rivaltina” - a drink prepared with alcohol and coffee -), a few sachets of seeds, pleasant chats, a match of table football or cards and the exciting football tournaments that animated the local fans.
Then, one day, the Campino entered in a long, very long hibernation, to awaken in 2017 with a decisive restructuring action by local volunteers (Lido, Maurizio "Menni", Paolo "Pancino") and, in the summer of 2018, with the resumption of the football matches.
